For the last several years, I've explored the history of Pittsburgh sports through my weekly Cartoon Canon strip on DKPittsburghSports.com. Dozens of those strips were collected in my book of the same name in 2018. Now, I'm offering the chance to have YOUR most cherished sports memory immortalized in a colorful, one-of-a-kind single panel comic strip. Any moment, large or small, is fair game, from Don Larsen's perfect World Series game, to Jesse Owens' performance at the 1936 Olympics, to Al Bundy's four touchdowns for Polk High. If you loved it, I'll depict it!

The rate for custom Cartoon Canon commissions is $250, which will get you both the original hand drawn art and several color prints of your comic strip. The process is very open-ended: You can be as specific as you want with exactly WHICH moment or player will be depicted, so if you've got something exact in mind, that's what you'll get. However, if you'd prefer that I do a little research for you, I'm happy to provide that service, and come up with something a little more unexpected. The most important thing is that you're satisfied!

I'll do a quick sketch and send it to you, just to make sure you're okay with the composition, and then get working on the final. It usually takes about 4-6 weeks to complete a commission, but if you're trying to hit a specific date, let me know, and I'll make sure it gets to you on time! If you'd like to have a commission for a specific occasion (birthday, Mother's/Father's Day, Christmas, etc.), PLEASE contact me as early as possible so that I'll have sufficient time to get it to you!
